Michael is a corporate and investment lawyer with a career in international financial markets in UK, Europe and Asia, for Barclays Capital and a multi-billion Swiss investment manager.

Michael worked in-house at Calyon and at Barclays Capital as a structured finance and derivatives lawyer in London and Hong Kong (advising on transactions across multiple asset classes including direct investments, funds, securitization, derivatives, structured loans, commodities and cross border security). After leaving Barclays Capital Michael was the long-standing general counsel for $2bn Swiss investment firm, DMF Group, where he also served as director and senior officer for many international management companies and funds. During his career Michael has served as Director, CEO, Compliance and MLRO for companies licensed in Europe, including a directorship of a mid-cap energy group in Spain.
 
In 2015, Michael launched a successful legal consultancy, advising family offices, investment managers, challenger banks and other tech & alternative finance (including blockchain) companies. His core practice area includes financial services law and regulation, fund and investment structuring, M&A, IP and corporate governance & compliance.
