David is a highly skilled, entrepreneurial and recommended lawyer. He started his career at Allen & Overy before moving in-house for an international group and subsequently founding Avery Law. He frequently provides corporate, commercial and finance English law advice to start-ups, investors, corporates and individuals from around the world.

David is a co-founder and managing partner of Avery Law. David is responsible for the day-to-day management, direction and culture of the firm.

David specialises in fundraisings, particularly in the tech sector. He has a wealth of in-depth experience in advising on funding rounds, shareholder agreements and governance, share incentivisation schemes, share subscriptions, sweat equity and the structuring of vesting schedules for founders, advisers and employees, share sales, acquisitions and corporate restructurings. He is regularly involved in fundraising and exit deals at all stages of the cap table.
